Umluj is known for its beautiful white sandy beaches and clear turquoise waters, making it a unique tourist destination in the Kingdom. Umluj is nicknamed the "Maldives of Saudi Arabia" due to its landscapes resembling the Maldives. In addition to the beaches, Umluj has a number of small islands that can be visited by boat, such as Al-Habiba Island and Umm Sahar Island. Umluj has a rich history dating back to ancient times, as it was an important trading port. It also hosts many archaeological and historical sites, such as ancient buildings and mosques that reflect the cultural heritage of the region.
